Parks and
Recreation:
The Oslo City Park is south of the intersection of Hwy. 1 and Main Street. It contains 2/12 blocks of athletic field, baseball diamond, horseshoe court, tennis court, RV camping sights, picnic grounds with two shelter houses and a new playground. The City is in the final stage of the City Park Playground Project. This new playground facility will support integrated play between children of differing ages and provide a safe environment for children to play in. The equipment is fully handicap accessible and is in compliance with current safety standards. There are six camping sights with electrical and water hookups on the south side of the park. Oslo also has a large concrete boat landing by the water tower. There are electrical hookups there for 12 campers. The landing is the gateway to some of the best cat fishing water for hundreds of miles. Also found in the Red River are northern, perch, crappies, gold-eyes, and saugers. Canoeing is an old way of water transportation that has been rekindled. There are area canoe clubs that have recently been formed for the pleasure of canoeing in the beauty and serenity that the Red’s waters have to offer. Oslo is connected to approximately 1000 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. There are 258 miles of groomed trails on the Minnesota side, which are maintained by the Warren Sno-cat Riders. The trail system is throughout Marshall County and connects to the surrounding counties of Polk, Walsh, and Grand Forks. There are approximately 750 miles of connected groomed trails on the North Dakota side. 120 miles of these trails are maintained by the Manvel, ND Turtle River Roughriders Sno-cat Club. Oslo Museum
